Branding Copy: A Agency
-
A tone guide is the working document that a business uses to write in a consistent style (voice) across all communications. It is what enables many writers at various points in time to contribute to the brand’s messaging in a consistent way. This 2 page tone guide is for a graphic design agency (I have removed part of the name).
To write this tone guide, I met with the owner of the graphic design agency to flesh out what his business does. We covered topics like the type of work the agency does, his ideal clientele, how he pictures the agency as a person, and specific language examples that he could envision his brand using (and not using).
I solidified our discussion into a tone guide that his agency could use to guide any future writing that they produce with a consistent tone of voice. -
A tagline is a short phrase with the goal of summarizing up the company’s benefit to the customer. This tagline is for the same graphic design agency as the provided tone guide; the owner wanted a tagline to feature on his website, email signatures, and social media profiles.
This document offers many options for the graphic design agency to choose from. They all play with an idea of space/stars/rockets to play off of the agency’s name (which has been omitted) and the space imagery on the agency’s website. This is part of the overarching strategy to create a solidified brand presence.
